Costarican/American Soccer E-commerce startup Soccer Feelings announced this Monday April the 1st in a privately held event, that Major League Soccer officially granted New Jersey an MLS expansion team. Featuring Latin America soccer stars ownership group: Bryan Ruiz, Cuauhtémoc Blanco and Landon Donovan, the investment -undisclosed- will reach the $300 million dollars sum.
“It is with tremendous pride that we welcome New Jersey to Major League Soccer,” MLS Commissioner Don Garber said in a league release. “With Bryan Ruiz, Cuahtémoc Blanco and Landon Donovan leading the way, we know the right people are in place and the time is right for New Jersey to become a great Major League Soccer city. This ownership is committed to bringing New Jersey the elite-level soccer team, stadium and fan experience it richly deserves. We look forward to working with the entire organization on a strategic and successful launch for New Jersey’s MLS club.”
The path to Saturdays’s announcement was initiated by celebrating the launch of the e-commerce store: Soccer Feelings | The store The Beautiful Game Deserves – Soccer Tees, Apparel, Gifts and Accessories.
Soccer Feelings also announced the brand new agreement in place to build a world-class soccer stadium by the end of 2025 -just in time for the 2026 World Cup- which will carry the name ‘Soccer Feelings Ground‘. This concludes a long negotiation process that started in Costa Rica land on December 28th and all of the participants have been able to maintain as a secret.
